  • 12 oz gluten-free pasta brown rice or chickpea pasta
  • 4 quarts water
  • 1 tbsp sea salt
  • For the Sauce:
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic finely minced
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes halved
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes optional
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves torn
  • 1/3 cup reserved pasta water
  • Secret Ingredient:
  • 2 tbsp nutritional yeast

Method

  2. Bring water to a rolling boil and add salt. Cook gluten-free pasta until slightly firm (al dente).
  3. Heat olive oil in a pan. Sauté garlic until fragrant, then add cherry tomatoes and cook until soft.
  4. Add drained pasta to the pan along with reserved pasta water. Toss gently to combine.
  5. Sprinkle nutritional yeast and fresh basil. Mix well and turn off heat.
  6. Serve hot with extra garnish if desired.
